Akaroa is a spectacular 80km drive over and onto the Banks Peninsula from Christchurch.

To get here simply take State Highway 75 from Christchurch (signposted to Akaroa) and it will lead you all the way.

Once in Akaroa you will find the Main Wharf by following Rue Lavaud straight through the town. Continue past the War Memorial (on your right hand side) and along the sea front. Follow the road left onto Rue Jolie and continue for 200 meters before turning right onto Church Street – the Main Wharf is right in front of you... Easy!
