Abundance is a well known charter vessel that has operated out of Lyttelton and the Banks Peninsula for several years.

Abundance is powerful and highly manoeuvrable, making navigating the more exciting parts of the Harbour and Bays a breeze, something that is not possible in many other charter boats.
Thanks to her new twin 200 horsepower outboard engines, Abundance is the fastest commercial boat in Akaroa (she cruises comfortably at 30 knots and has a top speed of over 50 knots!). She can get you places that other boats can’t. Responsible for this incredible power are the revolutionary new Evinrude E-Tec engines; they are quiet, fuel efficient and very reliable. They are also among the cleanest outboards in the world, and have received numerous “Clean Air” awards.

Abundance is kitted out with comfortable seating and shelter for everyone, as well as facilities to provide hot and cold drinks and snacks. She also has a flush toilet onboard.

Abundance is a Shark Cat; a twin hulled catamaran. These boats have a legendary reputation. They were designed to meet the high demands of various heavy duty uses including sea rescue, Coastguard and commercial fishing vessels. Abundance is an extremely stable craft, with excellent sea keeping abilities. This makes her a perfect choice for fishing and tours, as she provides a steady platform from which to fish and more comfort for leisure touring.
She has been recently refitted with new engines, safety equipment and navigational instruments and is maintained to the highest level of safety. Abundance is entered into a Safe Ship Management program and is registered with Maritime New Zealand. All this makes her one of the safest boats in the harbour.

We always work to minimise any pollution into the sea.
When manoeuvring in close proximity to any marine mammal, we will not...
